Jacqueline Porter
Jacqueline is a graduate of the University of Melbourne. She holds an Honours degree in Music Performance and a Bachelor of Arts (Italian) and is a student of Anna Connolly. Having recently completed two years as a Developing Artist with Victorian Opera, Jacqueline regularly performs across a range of different art forms, including Opera, Oratorio, Art Song, Lieder and Music Theatre. The winner of the 2007 Australian Youth Aria, Jacqueline has also been a semi-finalist in the Herald Sun Aria and was the runner-up in the 2007 National Liederfest. Jacqueline made her professional debut with the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra in 2005, as the soprano soloist in Bach’s Cantata BWV207, conducted by chief conductor, Oleg Caetani. Jacqueline has appeared as a guest artist with the Melbourne New Orchestra as part of the Morning Melodies series at Hamer Hall and, most recently, in four concerts with David Hobson around Victoria
